MakeMyTrip partners with OpenAI to deepen AI-first travel strategy

MakeMyTrip and OpenAI have joined forces to improve how people plan trips. MakeMyTrip added OpenAI technology to its mobile app. This move helps travelers search and book flights or hotels using simple text chats.

MakeMyTrip operates the Myra smart helper. Travelers can now talk to Myra to find exact trip ideas. Myra offers personalized recommendations and helps users buy tickets right away. Instead of clicking many filters, users just type what they want. The system understands the user and builds a trip plan instantly.

Rajesh Magow leads MakeMyTrip. He says this partnership turns simple curiosity into actual travel bookings. Oliver Jay works as a director at OpenAI. He adds that this update makes booking feel like a normal chat instead of a boring search process.

MakeMyTrip already spends money on smart computer tools. The Myra chatbot currently handles more than 50,000 chats per day. Users can speak to Myra in eight different languages. These languages include Hindi, Tamil, and English. Interestingly, nearly half of Myra users live in smaller Indian towns and cities. This fact shows that smart tools help more people access easy travel options.

MakeMyTrip expects this new update to attract even more users. The company wants to make trip planning fast and simple for everyone. Both companies plan to change how Indians explore the world.
